SafeTech administers audits specific to client issues. This may include conducting interviews with employees, performing OSHA compliance audits, or auditing to existing corporate procedures. Such audits present an employer with up-to-date evaluations of their safety programs, and assist new programs to develop direction.

Health and Safety Management
We assist client companies to evaluate their current health and safety models and restructure their services to meet their precise business demands. SafeTech also develops new models for specific service needs, such as ergonomic medical management for companies that must reduce the costs of work-related injuries.

Written Policy Development
Federal and state regulations require written policies to document a company’s compliance with specific standards. SafeTech generates company policies, procedures, medical surveillance protocols, standard operating procedures, and program plans that meet such standards as OSHA Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Confined Space Entry, and Medical Surveillance.

Our experienced consultants evaluate data for Site-Specific Health and Safety Plans and Emergency Response Plans, draft original policies, and review and revise existing documents to the requirements of each individual client.

Hazardous Waste Site Safety Training
We design our Safety Training courses to comply with OSHA standards. These courses, pertinent for hazardous waste site workers, include Hazardous Waste Operations in compliance with the OSHA standard, 29 CFR 1910.120. This training includes 8-Hour refresher courses for hazardous waste site workers and initial 8-Hour courses for supervisors.

Chemical Emergency Response Training
For facilities with potential for chemical spills, we conduct five levels of Emergency Response courses, from Awareness (level 1), through Technician (level 3), to Incident Commander (level 5). Emergency Response courses are on an OSHA-required custom basis, applying to standard 1910.120, and are explicitly prepared by SafeTech to meet the specific needs of your company.

General Safety Training
SafeTech provides training services to a variety of private and public sector clients that include manufacturing, construction, petroleum distribution, paper, poultry and seafood processing, municipalities, schools, state agencies, and hazardous waste and environmental firms. Recently offered topics include, Respiratory Protection and Fit-Testing, Hearing Conservation, Video Display Terminals, Ergonomics, Control of Hazardous Energy (lock-out/tag-out), Personal Protective Equipment, Specific Chemical Training, Confined Space Entry, Blood Borne Pathogens, and Train-the-Trainer.

Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Training
For facilities challenged with managing hazardous waste, inspecting 90 day storage areas or satellite accumulation areas, SafeTech provides custom training to comply with the EPA's Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA). Other occupational safety training modules are available in conjunction with any Hazardous Materials, Hazardous Waste, or Environmental Course.

For facilities that ship or receive hazardous materials, ship hazardous waste, prepare hazardous materials for transportation or prepare shipping papers (including hazardous waste manifests), we provide training modules that are function specific.

Continuing Education
SafeTech’s is now an approved provider of continuing education for Professional Engineers in the State of New York.  Our open enrollment courses listed on the training schedule page can meet your needs for regulatory compliance as well as continuing education.  Please be aware that the hours given for continuing education will be slightly different than the course hours due to the NY State requirements.  All technical level courses that we provide are available for credit.  We also provide custom continuing education at client facilities.

EHS Conferences
Advanced educational programs, like all of SafeTech’s services, are customized to your needs, and fulfill continuing education credit for safety, health, and environmental professionals. SafeTech’s expert trainers present programs at national and regional conferences for organizations such as the American Society of Safety Engineers, the National Environmental Trainers Association, and the American Occupational Health Conference. We also produce Train-the-Trainer programs on location at client facilities. These programs include: Instructional Technology, Training Program Design, Hazardous Waste Safety, DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation, Corporate Safety Programs and Policies, and Environmental (RCRA).
